What is the Economic Development Council?

The Putnam County Economic Development Council (PCEDC) is a public / private non-profit organization that works to broaden the economic base and create new economic opportunities for Putnam County area residents.  The PEDC is governed by a __ member steering committee, comprised of government officials and business leaders.

Our Mission:   To facilitate economic development by new job creation by attracting new businesses and existing business expansion.

Our Vision:   To be the catalyst for assuring well-balanced growth that adds to the standard of living for the residents of Putnam County.

PCEDC investors are area leaders dedicated to working together in order to achieve economic progress and an ever-improving business climate in northeast Florida. They also participate in a variety of committees or task forces each year, working with local, county and state government, community and civic organizations, educational institutions, existing and new businesses, and others to develop a balanced, growing and prosperous community.

Future Goals

Membership Classifications

Regular Member.  Any Chamber member who makes an annual investment in the PCEDC of $500 is extended a Regular Membership.

Sustaining Member.  Any Chamber member who makes an annual investment in the PCEDC of $1,000.  Sustaining members are entitled to three memberships in the PCEDC.

Trustee Member.  Any Chamber member who makes an annual investment in the PCEDC of $2,000.  Trustees are entitled to four memberships in the PCEDC.
